Music Therapy

East London Music Therapy was set up in 2013 by Katy Bignold to provide a music therapy service to schools and organisations in the East of London. We currently work with children and young people in both mainstream and special education settings.

Our music therapists are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and must hold a Masters degree in Music Therapy. They are required to receive regular clinical supervision and to keep clinical records of their work as well as taking part in continuing professional development activities.

The British Association for Music Therapy is the professional body for music therapists and is a source of information, support and involvement for the general public.

East London Music Therapy is supported by Guildhall Creative Entrepreneurs, a division of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
